Contemporary Case Study: Insomnia

The National Sleep Foundation's Contemporary Case Study videos are 60 minute educational videos covering relevant and timely sleep health topics. Experts discuss methods for screening, treating and managing common sleep issues in patients.

Contemporary Case Studies: Insomnia is a 60-minute, interview style, online video course exploring sleep health issues related to insomnia presented in three (3) video segments. Each segment will feature an exchange between two physicians discussing reviews of challenging real-life cases to help physician learners about strategies to effectively treat and manage their patients with insomnia. The interactions will be divided in 3 parts, as follows:

  • Segment #1 will cover topics for using sleep screening techniques for patients with insomnia
  • Segment #2 will cover topics related to how to apply diagnostic criteria and assessment protocols to improve accuracy and timeliness of diagnosis
  • Segment #3 will cover topics related to various ways to implement and monitor treatment plans.
